Hi, I'm Lisa and I'm really glad you're here.
I am a self-taught Canadian artist based in Fort McMurray, Alberta, creating highly realistic portraits of wildlife and pets. Most days you'll find me way too close to the canvas, completely focused on tiny details, those little hairs and expressions that bring a piece to life, and yes I'll admit I occasionally go cross-eye in the process.
For me, it's never just about getting the likeness right. It's about capturing the feeling, the personality, the presence and the soul of the animal.
I've been drawing and painting animals for as long as I can remember. There's just something about the natural world that's always pulled me in, it's powerful, beautiful and honestly a little humbling. Over time that passion has grown into something more than just creating art.
It's become a way to give back.
A portion of my sales at the end of each year is donated to a wildlife conservation charity, helping support the animals and habitats that inspire everything I do. So when you bring one of my pieces into your home, it's more than just artwork, it's a small part of something bigger.
My hope is when you see my work, you don't just see an animal... you feel something.
A connection. A moment. A reminder of how incredible it is we share this world with them.
At the end of 2025, I was honoured to be selected for Art to Hearts Magazine Issue 11, marking my first international feature. The issue was published February 2026, showcasing my realist wildlife art alongside other talented artists from around the world. A milestone in my career that I'm so proud of and a celebration of my passion for capturing nature's beauty.
As the first artist showcased in the 2025 Art of Connection Series, I shared my "Into Africa" collection for all the travellers to enjoy on the digital screens. A body of work that reflects my deep passion for animals and my dream to travel to Africa to witness firsthand, the wildlife that inspired this collection.

Every painting starts with a conversation, yours could be next. Questions? Ideas? Just want to talk about animals? I'm here.
